Our key technical staff has been designing, building, and maintaining rotary cathodes for over 20 years. Unlike many of our competitors, we do our fabrication in-house giving us control over the quality and schedule, lowering costs, and allowing us to provide customizations to meet each customers' specific needs.
At SCI we use a patented, single ended, design for our rotary cathodes. This not only reduces overall system cost, but also reduces the number of rotary seals (failure points), making our cathodes the most reliable and requiring the least maintenance.
Our more compact designs allow for the highest packing density of cathodes and greatest coverage of glass or web.
Our patent pending water fill and drain technology allows the target to fill completely for greater cooling and drain completely for cleaner and quicker target changes. Our use of a public (non-patented) target design means more flexibility in your choice of targets providing opportunity for decreasing the cost of consumables.
